"REGULATION ON AMENDING THE PRESS CARD REGULATION" WAS PUBLISHED IN THE OFFICIAL GAZETTE

The “Regulation on Amending the Press Card Regulation” was published in the Official Gazette dated May 21, 2021.

With the new amendment, those who want to have a press card should not be convicted of "establishing an organization, being a member and helping to commit a crime".

Press and Public Relations Unit chiefs in the Presidencies and Offices of the Presidency, and the Press and Public Relations Counselor and two personnel in the Ministries have been granted the right to obtain press cards.

Press cards of the following people will be cancelled; persons who act in a way that harms the professional honor of the press by exhibiting actions and attitudes that do not befit their title, or those who create content that will encourage violence and terrorism and render the fight against all kinds of organizational crimes ineffective.
