Sport; It is an activity that can be done individually or as a team and can be done professionally or as an amateur, with certain rules and techniques, providing physical, mental, spiritual and social development.
Sports law is to make games with different structures equal, fair and regular for each participant and player, and to regulate the sanctions and penalties that will be applied in case of failure to comply with these rules.
The positive primary sources of sports law are the Olympic Charter of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the Statutes and other instructions issued by international sports federations (IF), and secondarily by the statutes and instructions of the national Olympic committees (NOC) and national sports federations.
The main objectives of international federations are in three main subjects. The first is to manage sports at an international level. It is an indispensable condition for international competitions to respect the uniform rules applicable to all competitors. The second goal of international federations is to promote the sport and make it widespread. The third main purpose is to organize international championships, organize their organizations personally or supervise their realization.
Sports law regulates sports activities, manages the world of sports, ensures the institutionalization of sports competitions and organizations. In addition, it organizes the relationships that arise due to sports and the situations faced by the real and legal, public and private persons involved in these relationships and resolves the problems.
