PREFERENTIAL TRADE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF TURKEY AND THE GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF AZERBAIJAN

On Tuesday January 19, 2021, the decision on approval of the agreement of "Preferential Trade Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Turkey and the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan" has been published in the Official Gazette No. 31369

The purpose of the Agreement is to strengthen the commercial relations between the Contracting Parties through tariff reductions within the framework of the principles of equal use and reciprocity, promoting trade, creating fair competition conditions between the Parties and creating a safer environment for the sustainable growth of trade.

This agreement is concluded for an indefinite period. This Agreement shall remain valid as long as one Contracting Party notifies through diplomatic channels of its intention to terminate it.

Disputes arising from the interpretation and / or implementation of this Agreement will be resolved through bilateral consultations. The Joint Committee, established for the examination and resolution of disputes, shall meet within 30 days from the date of receipt of the request of one of the Contracting Parties for the assessment of an issue that cannot be reached with a satisfactory result.
